Adib Masumian from our elearning group got Kelly Rossi, project manager extraordinaire, to sit down for an interview on her job. Here’s Kelly’s view on how project management can help control project costs.
This segment is the sixth in an ongoing series of interviews that we are conducting with Microassist employees. Stay tuned for more!
Q: How can Project Management help control project costs?
Kelly Rossi: Yeah, it does because well A, you have someone watching it, you know. If you have a project manager you’re more likely to have a budget because a project manager’s gonna say, what’s my budget? So just by virtue of asking the question what’s my budget and actually making a budget and then having someone watch it, that’s better than not having anything. And then also someone’s gonna make you define the project. Someone’s gonna say no, that’s out of scope. Or we’re gonna need more money if we change the scope. So I would say that project managers are helpful for budgets in that way.
