Agile Training – Basics of Agile
Course Overview
Experience matters. Practical, hands on learning is more than twice as effective as lecture in most cases. This course is an 8 hour Agile immersion experience. Rather than talking the day away, we introduce Agile quickly in the first hour and then live it for the day, in the context of a project. As Agile is a philosophy, not a methodology, we chose the most common US methodology to experience: Scrum. The team learns the Scrum ceremonies, as well as good Agile habits over the course of three 1.5 hour iterations. By the end of the day, not only does the team know how to do Scrum, but they have the kind of deep intuitive understanding of how Agile works that one cannot get from lecture courses.
Experienced Scrum Masters and Agile Project Managers who have sent some of their people through the training have taken to insisting that all new team members take this training before joining the team.
